A Bit About Me

H aving developed a passion for fishing in my late teens, becoming a rod maker was a natural development for me. I have now been building rods for some twenty-five plus years. With this amount of steady experience, I have become recognized as a master craftsman at creating rods. My rods have been sold to clients around the world, from Spokane to Malaysia. When a rod leaves my shop here on Spokane's South Hill, I know that the owner is getting an excellent piece of equipment that will be a source of deep satisfaction for many years, perhaps generations.

In addition to my custom rods, I do some guided fishing trips here in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Primarily, I guide to small streams and creeks where there are an abundance of trout to be found. A number of my fishing rod clients have booked a fishing trip, come to Spokane to get their rod and immediately gone out to catch some trout and to enjoy some of our wonderful back-country scenery. Rates for trips depend on your requirements so just drop me a line or give me a call and we can work out the details.

As anyone who fishes for the pure enjoyment of the sport can tell you, there are few things in life that are more enjoyable than fly fishing a cold, clear stream, hooking a big ol' Brownie or Rainbow and coaxing it into your net (although eating the hot skillet, butter fried version is a close second). I count myself as a very fortunate man in that I am able to indulge my passion for fishing together with my love of creating finely crafted fishing rods.
